Ronky Moojisola Adegbile

Oyeronke Mojisola Adegbile (aka Ronky) is a Chief Research Officer at the Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research (NIOMR). She has a master's degree in fisheries and a bachelor's degree in Zoology from the University of Lagos in Nigeria. She is a fellow of the Leadership in Environment and Development International. Her research includes a broad range including sea turtles, fisheries and Marine debris research and monitoring in the Nigerian Coastal Zone. Her passion for sea turtles and marine conservation resulted in her founding the Marine and Coastal Conservation Society of Nigeria and the Nigerian Sea Turtle Network. She coordinates the International Coastal Cleanup of the Ocean Conservancy in Nigeria where she has mobilized over 1,500 volunteers to date for cleanup action. She also consults on sea turtles and marine mammal issues during EIAs. She's Chapter advisor of the Heirs to our Oceans, Nigerian chapter and is a great advocate for youth led Ocean and climate action. She is married to Gbenga and blessed with wonderful children. She loves reading, meeting new people and traveling.
